Special Tours

In addition to regular season tours, the Conrad Mansion offers several special tours and events throughout the year.

Lettie Conrad and The Wild West Tour

The Lettie Conrad tour honors Kalispell’s Founding Mother Lettie Conrad. The story of Charles Conrad has been well-told by Kalispell locals and visitors since the 1890s. Mr. Conrad’s adventures and accomplishments echo through to this day as we live and work in the town he helped found. But, as the old saying goes, “behind every great man, there’s a woman,” and this special tour tells that story. Learn about an Edwardian woman’s life in Montana while touring through the Mansion’s twenty-six rooms.

Tour’s offered every Monday, 5:30pm – 7:00pm
and the second Saturday of every month, 4:00pm – 5:30pm
$20 per person, limited to 10 people per tour

The Conrads go to a Ball
Clothing Exhibit Tour

Have an up close and personal viewing of ball gowns and evening wear that ranges from the 1890s-1960s. The Conrad Mansion’s volunteer curator of textiles will guide people through the Mansion’s first and second floors while explaining the lovely clothing on display. The tour will close with a discussion in the Great Hall.

Tours offered every Thursday, September through November 2020 • 5:30pm - 7:00pm
$15 per person, limited to 10 people per tour.
*Private Clothing Tours are also available for a minimum of five people. Please call to schedule.

A Stroll in the Garden Tour

You may have learned about the historic Conrad Mansion during a tour of the house, but did you know the Mansion’s grounds have their own unique history? Hear never-before told stories and learn about the collection of structures built on the grounds in the early years while strolling through the picturesque gardens.

Tours offered every Tuesday through October 2020 (rain or shine)
5:30pm – 6:15pm

Ghost Tours

Guests are invited to walk the darkened halls with a glimmer of candlelight to guide them. Once inside a room, guests will hear Conrad family ghost stories and other strange happenings that occurred in the Mansion. Who knows, maybe you’ll have your own paranormal experience?

Ghost Tours are a family friendly event; however, we do not recommend children under 10 attending.
