Since 1974, the Conrad Mansion has relied on people who volunteer their time and skills to help preserve the building and its collection. There are a variety of ways to get involved at the Conrad Mansion. Call us at 406-755-2166  or email us at for more information on volunteering at the Conrad Mansion.

Docent/Tour Guiding

Lead entertaining and historically accurate tours to groups from all over the world. Our tours are catered to all age groups and offer volunteers the chance to educate locals and visitors on our region’s incredible history.

Greet guests at the front door, answer questions during self-guided tours, and assist in the gift shop. Hosting is a wonderful position for those who enjoy conversing with the public and who love Montana history.

Spend a lovely spring or summer day on the Mansion’s grounds, assisting with light gardening work. Whether you are an experienced gardener or someone looking to improve their skills, volunteering in our gardens is a great way to spend time outside while giving back to the community.

Gardening is an ideal volunteer position for those who prefer to social distance.

With its three floors and twenty-six rooms, the Conrad Mansion requires constant upkeep. Through light cleaning, housekeepers help preserve the building and its antiques for future generations while making the Mansion more attractive to our guests.

Housekeeping is an ideal volunteer position for those who prefer to social distance.
